This book contains four of Beatrix Potter's classsic tales: The Tailor of Gloucester, The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck and The Tale of The Flopsy Bunnies.

The first story tells of the poor tailor living alone in Gloucester, except for his cat Simpkin and any number of little brown mice behind the wainscot. The tailor must make a coat of silk and a satin waistcoat for the Mayor of Gloucester's wedding day, but who will finish the task when he falls ill? Mrs. Tiggy-winkle is a busy animal, washing, starching and ironing in her tiny kitchen inside the hill. Lucie has come for her pocket handkins, but there are so many other clothes to look through: woolly lambs' coats, cats' mittens, a robin's waist- coat, and many more! Jemima Puddle-duck needs to find somewhere to lay her eggs, right away from the busy farm. She meets a most obliging foxy gentleman who seems to take a great interest in the problem, although he may not be the best person to advise her. And lastly, here is the charming story of the Flopsy Bunnies generation of baby rabbits, belonging to Benjamin Bunny and his wife Flopsy, Peter Rabbit's sister.
