In no field is the usefulness of astrology more demonstrable than in that of vocational guidance. Yet hardly any branch of the mighty science of the stars has been more neglected. With a few exceptions it has been relegated to a chapter or two in general works on astrology or is scattered promiscuously through interpretative material dealing with the signs, planets and houses.
Here and there a writer has essayed to produce a specialized work on "Vocational Astrology" and has contributed interesting and valuable additions to the general knowledge
The present volume aims at a much more exhaustive exposition than seems yet to have been attempted. While it presumes some elementary acquaintance with the subject, including the ability to cast and progress a horoscope, or at least to examine understanding one cast and progressed by someone else, it takes nothing for granted otherwise.
Appendices at the end of the book will enable the beginner to interpret the symbols used and to know what works he may obtain to familiarize himself with the rudiments of astrology. Certain other explanatory material is provided in Appendix C, for purposes of clarification.
