Mark Twain's Autobiography - Volumes I & II

RARE SECOND EDITION [1925] P.F. COLLIER AND SON COMPANY

Rare limited 1925 Reprint of the 1924 First Edition.  Burgundy ribbed cloth with gilt lettering. PF Collier and Son.   Introduction by Albert Bigelow Paine. Complete 2-volume set.

Covers have some scuffs and shelf wear; fraying to edges of spine.  Bindings are tight and pages inside  are beautiful: white, clean and untanned, showing little age.  Inside of front cover, paper lining has some cracking along spine's edge.

A lengthy set of reminiscences, dictated, for the most part, in the last few years of American author Mark Twain's life and left in typescript and manuscript at his death. The Autobiography comprises a rambling collection of anecdotes and ruminations rather than a conventional autobiography.
