Antique cloth-bound hardcover in good condition.  *A few spot-stained pages; nothing major. (see last 2 photos.)

Binding is tight.  Cloth is reasonably clean.  Reads nicely with a gift inscription from Christmas of 1920 on front endpaper. 

Edward William Lane's translation of "The Arabian Nights" is renowned for its detailed annotations and focus on accurately portraying the social and cultural context of the stories, particularly Egyptian life and customs, through the frame narrative of Scheherazade telling tales to King Shahryar to delay her execution, effectively providing a rich tapestry of stories about magic, adventure, and romance, all deeply embedded in the nuances of Middle Eastern society.
